Overview

The project assists migrants and Belizean returnees with accurate and appropriate information on migration procedures, offers support on migration services, and refers them to relevant government offices and to IOM’s voluntary repatriation program.

The Migrant Center is located at Bella Vista Village in the Toledo District.

The Center offers free and confidential guidance and support at Humana's Project Office (four blocks from the Polyclinic of Bella Vista, near Reyes Guest House), Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 16:00.

This project contributes to the development and strengthening of Belize’s national response to migration via the implementation of two of IOM Belize's programs:

  • Integrated Responses on Migration (IRM) funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
  • Program and the Western Hemisphere Program (WHP) funded by Bureau for Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) of the Department of State of the United States.
