Overview

Full Circle Belize (FCB) is a locally-based and youth-driven business project that will:

·       Collect and transform plastic waste into beautiful and customized marble-like everyday products (such as furniture, tiles, food bowls, and flowerpots).

·      Educate about environmental responsibility at the local and national levels.

·      Train youths, ages 18 to 35, to implement the project's ongoing work while developing their entrepreneurial and advocacy skills.

Methodologies

FCB builds on the following methodologies:

Precious Plastic an European youth-driven movement that centers on creating open-sourced knowledge and technologies for transforming plastic waste since 2012. Over the years, more than 80,000 people have replicated Precious Plastic's machines, products, and operations worldwide.

The ECOMADERA plastics management model from the GEF Small Grants Innovation Programme on Plastics Management focusing on South-South Cooperation with Cuba, Honduras, El Salvador, and Belize.

Plastic recycling services

FCB will offer recycling services in the Cayo and Stann Creek Districts.

We take cleaned plastics with classifications  1, 2, 4, and 5. Which include juice, shampoo and detergent bottles, yogurt, milk and other food containers, and plastic bags.

Plastic drop-off points

Until August 2022, the project will set up several plastic drop-off points in its 11 participating communities. New points will be listed in this section as they are established.
